Kathy Zimmer at Knitting Factory

My space heater is kicking on and off intermittantly, and given that the poor thing is older than I am, it’s making quite a ruckus doing so. I have a little candle lit which makes me feel warm as it flickers like a bonfire though the actual heat emitted isn’t at all like the visual image. I’m wrapped up in the thickest sweater I own, and for some reason I’m feeling a bit like Abraham Lincoln in his log cabin staying up doing homework by gas lantern, which I guess is rather appropriate. Today is President’s Day.
Next Tuesday will be Mardi Gras, which is a much less decorous holiday than President’s Day. In fact, on Mardis Gras, I believe decorum gets thrown right out the window. And so, in honor of that, I will be playing a gig.

I don’t believe there’s a drink minimum, but you might want to have one anyway, why not. Feel free to wear masks and beads and all that too, I’d love not to recognize a single face in the audience, how mysterious.
Also, I have a crazy new profile photo posted on http://www.myspace.com/kathyzimmer, you might want to check it out just for the heck of it. My friend Alan Carroll took the picture, he’s great. Soon my website is gonna be *new* and you’ll see even more of his work.
much love to all of you, keep warm, study hard and raise some hell, cause tomorrow we may die.
Love, Kathy
