New York Minute #48
Great show this week if I say so myself. We recently hooked up with the folks from Wiggly Wigglers in the UK. We met at one of my favorite spots, the Rise bar at the Ritz Carlton Battery Park at the very southern tip of Manhattan. I gave Heather and the gang some tips on places to go, including B&H for electronic equipment and Top Of The Rock for a great view of the city. Heather was nice enough to provide some audio feedback on their experiences which we feature here as well. And she requests some guidance on tipping. So I do my best to provide guidance on when and how much you should tip in New York City. Featuring music by Scottish rockers Eric Euan.

B&H does have everything, but I would have to admit I was somewhat intimidated by that when I visited the store.

Chris,
No doubt. B&H can be a crazy place, especially on a Sunday morning. In some ways, it’s a microcosm of New York City. The sales folks are no nonsense and user friendliness is exchanged for efficiency. First timers should definitely head there with that in mind. I browse on the website and print out what I want to buy. This way when I arrive I can just hand it to one of the (very businesslike) sales people and be on my way. In fact, I did this just the other day and it saved a lot of time.
