I had the pleasure of covering the Team Boomer event at Mr. Dennehy's at 63 Carmine St. in Greenwich Village last night. The event was a post marathon benefit to celebrate the members of Team Boomer and raise money for the cause of fighting Cystic Fibrosis.

I was there interviewing people for my show and for the Cystic Fibrosis podcast. I did get to speak to at least one person who actually ran the marathon although there were quite a few runners there.

Expect to hear this in the podcast in the next week or so.

This will be great to hear your coverage of the Marathon. I ran in it (and completed it!) It was my first NYC Marathon and, in fact, my first marathon ever. I've been to NYC dozens of times and this had to rank as my most exhilirating visit on so many levels. The neighborhoods, the exercise, the spirit of comaderie amongst the runners the tourists the residents the volunteers etc etc etc.

I had eight friend and family members come to support me. We stayed the night before in Midtown, had a great dinner, some of them checked out a fun Celtic band. Then, the next day after the race we celebrated with dinner before everyone headed out their separate ways.

That only just begins to scrape the surface of how one of the greatest cities in this world hosts one of the greatest events and the impact that it left on me. You assemble a great show and I'm looking forward to hearing your coverage of the day.

    Keep up the great work....
